I had a pretty good three-day weekend. I'm going to make this entry a short one (well, short for me anyway), so here's the quick run-down: Saw two movies at the cinema: Freedom Writers in San Leandro with a friend from work, and The Good Shepherd in Emeryville with my friend Jonathan. The first was your typical idealistic inspirational teacher saves-the-world movie. I guess I should just shut up, though, because it did inspire me. I loved the second film, though. It was very long, but you were riveted to your seat the entire time. You had to be, as the plot was very intricate and you had to be alert to be able to keep up with it. Siiiigh. I'm still trying to figure it out. I love films like that. And Billy Crudup is in it; that always helps. I did a lot of shopping this weekend. I went to the mall in Richmond and bought some of their new Rush Hour cheek and lip stain, which is an amazing color on me. I also bought their Dr. Feelgood face balm, which is a miracle. I don't ever wear foundation, so it makes my skin look perfect without it. Nice! I also bought lipgloss from The Body Shop, several magazines and books (including the new Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants book and The Good German), a pick zip-up BCBG Max Azria hoodie, and a new coffee mug that I can bring to work with me (it is, of course, pink). I also bought tickets to the Snow Patrol concert. They'll be coming to San Francisco in March, and this will be the third time I'll have seen them. I never get tired of seeing Snow Patrol: amazing showmen! I also bought tickets to see Bloc Party, who are also coming in March. I've never seen them live, but have heard they're pretty good. I haven't been to a great concert in a while, so I'm over the moon. I used to live for stuff like this! I went in to work for four hours today, which sounds horriffic, I know. The end result, however, is that I have all my plans, all my copying, and all my grading (well...not quite on the latter) done. You know what this means, don't you? It means that I can now leave work at a decent hour and have a life during the week. Is it even possible? If I didn't have the stupid PTA meeting tomorrow, life would be perfect. What else did I do? I can't remember? I cleaned my room, did my laundry, drove around a lot, and watched a lot of re-reruns of Ghost Whisperer. It's been a productive weekend. Anyway, the main reason that I wanted to write was to post a link to some new pictures that I have. They are of my trip to Europe, and there are about five million of them. You might like to take a look. Nothing is labeled yet, but you can just admire for now. Here's the link: http://www1.snapfish.com/photolibrary/t_=52328777 Hopefully it works. If not, drop me a note or e-mail and I can send you the link. I'm off. Goodnight! Anne |
